Even though I enjoyed my college experience, I feel that most education establishments could do more to prepare students for the ‘real world’ of interviewing and job opportunities. I mentioned this in something I posted a while back, but success rarely comes without some sort of failure/rejection beforehand. I think the more that we realize that, the better we can take when something doesn’t work out.

Also, I don’t think there’s anything wrong with “getting our hopes up”. I feel that God expects us. We can’t say that we have faith and trust, but then do anything I can to deny that something can be a reality to us just because we don’t want to be hurt. I took a note from Joyce Meyer and started exercising this prayer whenever an opportunity comes up: “Lord, I really want this. And I hope that you may bless me with this opportunity. But Lord, if this is not in your will for me I ask that you please remove it”. I found that by doing this, even though it may hurt when certain people leave my life or when I don’t get the opportunity I wanted, I still have clarity and I don’t have to beat myself up over it. Great read!
