I can’t lie, this was hard to get through but I’m still very happy that you shared this. It’s an uncomfortable subject so there’s no sense in trying to be comfortable reading about it. I truly hope that there can be a stop to FGM as well as consequences for those who keep trying to practice it. There is literally no positive gain to this experience, only physical and emotional trauma for women all for the sake of “keeping them pure”.
