I haven't actually seen this post at all; thanks for sharing!

Even though I would have to agree that this apology isn't perfect, I commend him for owning up to his past and present mistake of enforcing the sexualization of young girls by policing their swimsuit attire. But there is the question of 'how' he is going to use his privilege to help fix this.

Dress codes have never sat right with me; mainly because the majority of it emphasizes (very normal) female attire. Attire that they can literally find in the "Junior/Teen" section of stores. And how there's always the excuse of "being a distraction" to the class. It's just unnecessary stress being put on young girls and, if I'm being honest, the only people getting "distracted" are male teachers who have no business being anywhere near a school.
