I imagine the irritation the LGBTQIA community is feeling towards Cyrus is not much different than how she was regarded by the Black community when she took on a new ‘persona’ with her sub-par twerking. It’s crazy how when kid celebrities use Black culture as a ‘coming-of-age’ phase only to toss it out maybe a year or two later. Her post and her overall understanding of what it means to be gay (or pansexual for her case) seem to be very skewed. And it doesn't surprise me that she likely used a marginalized community as a gimmick (again).

Her backtracking also doesn’t make sense. “There’s hope, you don’t have to be gay!” Somehow turned into “a joke about shitty guys”. Where was the joke? Because I can’t find it.
