I would say I’m curious to hear her side as well. It’s painful to say, but I’ve seen some women of color in leadership roles that tend to act aggressive because they feel like they have to in order to survive. To an extent, it’s true, but it shouldn’t be at the expense of someone else (then again, corporate life be like).
I definitely agree the way she acted was unnecessary and counterproductive. According to the story she’s a person of color, but not Black, and that honestly changes the dynamic for me. Too many times I have seen other people of color in power that still separate themselves from (or even put themselves ‘above’) their Black coworkers/subordinates.
