Oh man, I didn't think my comment on your previous post would be this applicable.

Your fiancé may have had a feeling and unfortunately, for us, it usually doesn't come as a surprise due to previous experiences. But I'm sure she's proud that you stood up for her and yourself in this situation. I've witnessed situations in which the family has a change of heart (albeit after a long period of time) so you never know. But at the end of the day, you stood by your values and took control of your own life.

As your mom said, interracial relationships aren't easy. But I'm praying that you and your fiancé will overcome whatever life throws at you. Thanks for sharing this and congrats on your engagement!
