I find that whenever I speak on this subject matter there is always — without fail — somebody saying “But what about Weinstein???” Like he can kick rocks, too, what is your point?

We can’t just default to “support everyone Black”, especially in matters like this. If someone has done wrong, they have done wrong, end of story. Yes, what happened to him as a kid was unfortunate but he has had the time (and resources) to be able to work through those issues. He’s also had the time and resources to work on his illiteracy issue. I don’t understand why people continue making excuses, but I guess if people are willing to overlook it in their own community then they are certainly willing to overlook it for their favorite artists.
