Thank you so much for sharing this. I witnessed to many of my childhood friends fall victim to this very concept. People quick to label little Black girls as "fast" or "too grown" when in reality a lot of them are just living their lives as children and are put into this box because of how they look. Everything from being scolded by elders or being sought out by men in their 20s who think it's okay because "well she looks/acts grown".
It's this mentality that also makes people less sympathetic towards (or less likely to believe) Black women and girls who have fallen victim to abuse and mistreatment.
