What concerns me is the number of people who rush to the defense of these celebrities and IG models who blatantly use certain aspects of Blackness to make themselves more appealing. Do you know how many times I’ve had to explain to people that Ariana Grande is a whole White lady? As you said, it’s like a Build-A-Bear or a grocery store of sorts.

When we allow this to happen, we’re basically sending the message that Blackness is the most beautiful when it’s worn by someone else.
