I think the first three points are honestly what trip people up the most. I’ve been on dates (or even just simple coffee meetings) in which the person just has nothing engaging to talk about and it’s exhausting. My back still hurts from carrying the weight of all those conversations. I always thought it to be basic human understanding to ask questions about the person you’re sitting down with, but a lot of times it just turned into an interrogation. I ask a question, he answers and sits back. Rinse, wash, repeat. People skills are only “Soft skills” until you encounter someone who doesn’t have them.
Also, thank you for addressing the ‘women just want money’ statement. I cringe every time I hear it because the only type of guy I hear say this is one without ambition or drive.
