Thanks for sharing this, and for being truthful enough to admit these things.

I do find that the term ‘feminist’ has become a bad word in some circles. I believe that, as you said, a lot of people have a strong misconception of what feminism is and what it serves to do (even other people who believe themselves to be feminists).

It literally can’t get any clearer than its definition. However, a lot of people will be exposed to the “wrong” feminists and make the assumption that it’s about a bunch of women being mad at men for everything and coming down on men for everything. They imagine a caricature of an unattractive woman who is bitter because she ‘can’t get a man’ so she takes everything out on men. But this couldn’t be further from the truth. We have to pick away at these misconceptions by serving as a true example of feminism, and emphasizing that anyone can be a feminist if they’re not sexist.
