Thanks for sharing this Kimberly; I’ve had to hear about some of those pressures from my Korean-American friends. I intrigued even more when one of my friends got me into Korean Pop music around 10 years ago; a lot of those standards are heavily reflected there to what seems to be a harsher scale for K-pop “idols”. I’m glad to see many women coming into their own in terms of what makes them beautiful, what they find beautiful, and being okay with not fitting into that box of conventional beauty. Great read!
