The global scale of Anti-Blackness is so real, though I will say this is my first time hearing about it so blatantly in India specifically. I feel a lot of focus gets on the East Asian countries so for whatever reason I assumed that India/South East Asia was somehow ‘better’. I’m very glad nothing violent happened with you, but at the same time, the blatant disrespect would have anyone boiling and isn’t something that we should have to sit through.

I used to be afraid of traveling because of Anti-Blackness being so prevalent on a global scale. But now that I’m realizing it’s pretty much unavoidable at this point, I feel that I want to take my chances anyway. Thanks for always sharing these experiences (whether good, bad, or ugly)!
