You have no idea how happy I am that you shared this piece! I think you deliver these points very well. This is something that I had to come to grips to as well when I started identifying myself as a feminist. The problem I often face is that when I bring up these topics — even with statistical evidence — [White] women tend to view it as a personal attack. To them, I’m being “divisive” and not focusing on the “task at hand”. But what they failed to realize that, while we do share some tasks, we still have tasks of our own as women of color that they fail to address.

Honestly, it’s just like the reaction I get when I call out racism or problematic behavior. They automatically go into defense mode and won’t actually listen to the problem.
