Very great insight, Lidya!

The trouble with child stars is all too familiar, and Sarah Lynn’s story is a big reflection of the downfalls those stars potentially face. I remember reading an article centering around Justin Bieber describing the time frame in which he acted out (being rude, being on drugs, acting immature, etc). How being young and rich with 0 reason to be accountable, and being constantly enabled left him in his mid 20s with literally no skillset or values relevant to anything outside of the entertainment industry. Unlike adult stars, child stars don’t get to build their life around their career; instead, their career is their life, their life is their career. Falling into irrelevancy or even having an extended hiatus can be devastating, because they are now met with the task of rediscovering themselves and establishing an identity outside of their stardom.
